  • Because you haven't signed your Texas Gun Trust, you do not need to create an Amendment. That's because your trust hasn't been finalized yet. All you need to do is shoot us an email explaining the changes you would like to make and we will send you a new version of your trust.
    Note: Please don't send us an email that says: "I need to make changes" or "please remove my wife as a Co-Trustee." We need you to tell us who you are, the name of your trust, when it was created, and exactly what you want to change. If you tell us to remove your wife as a Co-Trustee, but you don't give us her name... That really isn't going to do us much good.
    For Example: If you want to remove your wife as a Co-Trustee, you might send us an email that says:
    Dear TGT,
    I would like you to make some changes to my trust. My info is as follows:
    Name: John Smith
    Name of my trust: BAMF Trust
    Trust created: January 1, 2021
    Type of Revision: Remove Jane Smith as Co-Trustee

  • Do you want to add or remove Co-Trustees?

    Co-Trustees are the people that can legally use your NFA Firearms, even when you aren't with them.

    The Successor Trustee is the person that will manage the trust if something happens to you.


  • Do you want to add or remove Beneficiaries?

    Beneficiaries are the people (or organizations) that will get the firearms in your trust when you die.

  • To add Firearms to your Texas Gun Trust, you do not need to create an Amendment. Instead, you should create an Assignment Form, which can be found on the TGT Member's page.


  • Have you submitted a Form 1 or Form 4 Application to the ATF that hasn't been approved yet?

    For Example:
    If you bought a Silencer or SBR, but you haven't received your Tax Stamp (approved Form 4 Application) yet, you should select Yes
    If you haven't submitted any Form 1 or Form 4 Applications, or if all of your applications have already been approved, you should select No


  • Because you are waiting on approval of a Form 1 or Form 4 Application, you Do Not want to revise your list of Co-Trustees right now.

    Co-Trustees are considered Responsible Persons. If you revise your Co-Trustees while you have applications pending, you will be required to jump through a bunch of additional hoops with the ATF and your Form 1 or 4 application will be extremely delayed.

  • Your Amendment will state that all the Co-Trustees have been removed from your Gun Trust

  • Great! Now let's create a new list of Co-Trustees

    This list will replace the existing list of Co-Trustees in your Texas Gun Trust. Because you are replacing the old list, you need to put the names of everyone that will be a Co-Trustee... Even people that were on the old list (if any).
